Ahokas lives and works in Telakkaranta in Hernesaari quarter, Helsinki. The story of the Telakkaranta area (dockside) began as early as 1865. After the shipyard's operations moved to new premises a century and a half later, the jagged area of Telakkaranta began to become a concentration of creative work communities.
